Has anyone ever told you do what you love and love what you do? If not I’m telling you right now that this advice will definitely change your life. After working with older men and women I started to see a pattern emerge from our conversations. 9 times out of 10 everyone tells me the famous line that I just shared with you. They told me stories on how they made others rich while they managed to live a depressing life.
Imagine a life waking up knowing exactly what you’ll do every day for the rest of your life, how fun would that be? Imagine a life where your boss doesn’t even know your name and where your fellow employees are looking out for their own interests. Imagine a life where you know you’re just getting by. In many cases, this is the reality of a lot of people in the world.
Many people today are simply grinding it out living day-to-day with no fun or variety. A lot of times their jobs get them so overwhelmed, angry, and depressed that it rubs off on everyone around them. Do you really want to be one of those people? My guess is that you probably don’t want that kind of lifestyle.
All I ask, as a friend, is that you actually try to do what you really want to do in life. I know it sounds simple but this is probably one of the most complex life choices that you’ll ever have to make. If you’re an aspiring artist you probably hear that they don’t get paid much. Your mommy and daddy would rather you be a doctor. If you’re a model people expect you to be a certain way. If you’re an actor, people tell you it’s impossible to make it.
My only reply to that is: “It’s better to try something and fail at it because you’ll never ask, WHAT IF?”

Forget all that New Year’s resolution bull crap, I think I’d rather stick to my daily goals. The reason for that is because many people tend to get discouraged way too fast when it comes to major goals. Instead of trying to catch a shark why not catch a little fish first. Then maybe, just maybe, then you can work yourself up to that shark. The problem with people and their New Year’s resolutions is the fact that people think very unrealistic.
I know everyone tells you reach for the stars but before that you got a build a ship that can get you there and find fuel that will help you reach your destination. Don’t just wake up one day and say I’m going to be a millionaire because it’s not going to happen just like that. But if you really do want to make it big and become successful you need to have daily goals. Your brain works in a very simple way.
The secret is telling your brain exactly what to do and when you want it. If you’re thirsty you tell your body to move into the fridge and drink a cold. If you’re hungry you walk to your car and drive to a fast food joint. If you want to become successful you tell your brain the steps necessary in order to achieve that goal.
Writing down daily goals will help you master achievement. If you keep setting yourself up for failure your never get anywhere and you always say “I suck!”
So do us all a favor and don’t suck… prove everyone wrong and make people proud!

In many cultures business cards are a must. It all originated from wonderful Japan and got adopted by the rest of the world. However, did you know that many people still don’t understand the true value of a business card? Many people think it’s a place where information is simply slapped on. But on your card, does it really show what you can do for somebody? If the answer is no you better think twice about redesigning your card. Another trap people tend to fall into is the design aspect of a card. Some people think that a flashy card will do justice. But let me ask you this… Would you want a Ferrari with no engine? In most cases many of you would say no, but hey, you never know.
A well-designed card with the right information can be a deadly weapon. So what is the right information that is needed to go on a business card? First off, you’re going to need your name, contact information, and maybe a title. In most cases people really don’t care who you are, it’s what you do that they care about. So the next time you’re working with your designer, make sure that the card is simple and straight to the point. Make sure that you put down what you do and also add value to your card if possible. An example of this would be adding a coupon to the back of your business card instead of the calendar. Nobody uses calendars on the back of a business card no more, sorry to burst your bubble. The reason why is because the human race today has way too much technology.
Nowadays people have calendars on their phone, on their iPod, on their watch, and some other weird places that you wouldn’t believe. So instead of wasting the back of your business card of why not make some money with it? Remember you only get about 2 seconds to impress someone with your business card. Your text has to be the perfect size, your card can’t be too clustered, and your card has to look and feel professional. So you better not print your own business cards at home, once again… Sorry to burst your bubble.
So as you can see a card is definitely necessary. If yours isn’t looking too hot shoot me an e-mail so we can talk about it. Also, if you’re looking on getting some new cards done and haven’t even started I got great news for you, shoot me an e-mail so we can talk about it.

Have you ever heard the saying act your age? If you’ve ever met me you’ll learn that I’ve ALWAYS thrown this idea out the window. The reason why I do this is because I feel life is too valuable to throw away. Too many people today are depressed of what they didn’t do yesterday! After seeing many horror stories happen in front of me, I’ve learned to live life! Many of my friends know me as the joker/class clown. I like to think of it as the person who actually gives a shit.
I’m the guy that’ll make you feel better.
I’m the guy that’ll crack you up and make you cry.
I’m the guy that’ll keep your kids entertained for five hours.
I’m the guy that’ll help you get through those long days.
I’m the guy that you can always count on!
In case you don’t know who I am (which is probably most of you) let me go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Eddie Flores, I’m a 24-year-old Mexican-American that will be successful and make everyone proud. I will help kids that actually deserve to go to college by starting a scholarship. I will own a successful clothing line and I will own a successful design firm. I’ll leave a legacy that no one will forget and I will not live life just to get by. My goal is to inspire you, challenge you, and better yourself.
Oh yeah, and I’m that guy that’ll actually live life!
PS) I’m the dude with the brown sweater (I’m not crazy… it is like to have fun!)
