Today, the consumer truly has a great deal of power at their fingertips. One bad experience can ruin your business forever. What are you going to do about it?

Their are millions of reviews, complains, testimonials, and rants. If you have your very own business, what are you doing about this? Well if you haven’t got a clue I have three great tips that you can use to start taking control over your business.

1) Tell the truth and be honest

If you mess up and something goes wrong make sure that you apologize quickly and sincerely. The worst thing that you can do is let go time go by without resolving anything. This really pisses people off and allows them time to tell other people about their terrible experience. The sooner you squash the beef the better off you’ll be. If you do it good enough, you may even keep them as a loyal customer.

2) Make sure your consistent with your company

Speak the same way like you would if you where marketing. Don’t conflict with what your company stands for. If you start showing people too many faces for a business, they don’t know which one to follow. Keep your message clear, concise, and to the point. As the famous saying goes… Keep It Simple Stupid!

3) Go above and beyond and help turn a negative to a positive

For instance, if you own a restaurant, offer them and their party a next ones on us coupon or something. Be creative and always keep them before you. You may think that you pay the bills, but who really puts the mula in your pocket? YOUR CUSTOMERS! Sometimes its good to put your ego aside and make it work for the customer.

Everyone knows that its more expensive to get new customers then to maintain existing ones. If you let too many complainers slip through the cracks, it could get real ugly.
